Huntington Celebrates World Water Day: Today, March 22
Join OVEC and the Marshall University Native American Student Organization.
If you aren’t quite yet swearing off the social media platform, join the event on Facebook and invite others, too.
The event begins at 5:00 p.m. Harris Riverfront Park with a Water Celebration, and then will continue at OVEC’s office at 725 14th St. West. We’ll screen What Lies Upstream.
World Water Day is an annual event celebrated on 22 March. The day focuses attention on the importance of universal access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) facilities in developing countries. The day also focuses on advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
The NAACP urges the public to attend to become informed about the candidates.
Community Organizing Summit hosted by the Appalachian Gas Working Group
The Summit will also provide opportunities for in-depth learning on select topics.
