Health Registry: Tips to Stay Healthy While living Nearing Shale Development Infrastructure

From Keep Wayne Wild

The Ohio Health Registry has been gathering data on the health impacts of living, working, and going to school near gas and oil development in Ohio and now they’re expanding the project into West Virginia starting with a regional event in Parkersburg this Saturday!

Dr. Debbie Cowden, MD will speak on Tips to Stay Healthy while living adjacent to shale development infrastructure. She’ll discuss coping with noise, light, air, soil and water pollution. Volunteer registrars will be prepared to register attendees who want to be part of the Health Registry (people from West Virginia and Ohio living, working, or going to school near fracking, pipelines, injection wells, compressor stations, or other infrastructure are encouraged to participate). There will also be time for local activists and community groups to network.

Date & Time: Saturday, October 27 12:30 p.m.- 5:00 p.m.
Location: First Christian Church, 1400 Washington Ave, Parkersburg, WV 26101
