Deadline to Comment to USFS on ‘Streamlined’ Oil and Gas Permit Process in 44 Nat’l Forests

Note: We have joined with multiple groups in calling for an extension to this deadline, but we encourage everyone to comment now to the U.S. Forest Service opposition to this: 

US Forest Service seeks ‘streamlined’ oil and gas permit process

A public comment period ends Oct. 15 for a plan by the U.S. Forest Service to accelerate the permitting process for oil and gas development in the 44 national forests where drilling is authorized, and West Virginia’s Monongahela National Forest is among them.

Comments must be received by October 15, 2018.
